Hans Peter Wild was born in Heidelberg, Germany, in 1941. He studied law and business administration at the universities of Heidelberg, Munich, Mannheim, the Sorbonne in Paris, and Cambridge, earning a doctorate in law from the University of Mannheim. His academic pursuits provided a foundation for his future entrepreneurial endeavors.
Rise to Success
In 1974, Wild joined his parents' company, Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG, and spearheaded its international expansion. A pivotal moment in his career was signing boxing world champion Muhammad Ali as an advertising ambassador for Capri-Sun in 1979, which helped transform the company into a global brand. Wild’s leadership was key in establishing Wild Flavors as a leading player in the natural flavors industry. He later sold the majority stake in Wild Flavors to Archer Daniels Midland in 2014.
