Gianfelice Mario Rocca was born on March 2, 1948, in Milan, Italy. He is the son of Roberto Rocca and comes from a wealthy Italian family with a long history of entrepreneurship. He graduated cum laude in Physics from the University of Milan and obtained a PMD from Harvard Business School.
Rise to Success
Rocca joined the Techint Group in 1974. He rose through the ranks and was appointed head of corporate activities in Italy, Europe, and Mexico in 1980 at the age of 32. In 1997, he became the Chairman of the Techint Group. Under his leadership since 1997, Techint has thrived across sectors such as engineering, construction, and healthcare. His commitment to healthcare innovation led to founding the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in the '90s.
