Early Life
Filippo Ghirelli was born in Rome, Italy, on January 23, 1980. He comes from a family with a background in real estate. He attended international schools and graduated with a degree in structural engineering from the University of Rome, with further specialization at MIT and Harvard. He also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from LUISS Business School.
Rise to Success
Ghirelli began his career working in construction and infrastructure projects internationally, including in Guinea, Ghana, and Mali. In 2007, he became General Manager for the De Angelis Group, a real estate and healthcare operator. In 2009, following the death of the founder, Ghirelli founded Genera Group, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable solutions. He sold his remaining stake in Genera Group in September 2024. In 2024, he launched Infracorp, an investment firm focused on energy, transportation, and decentralized AI.
