Fatih Ozmen was born in Turkey and was a former Turkish National Cycling Champion. He moved to the United States to pursue higher education, earning a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. His master's thesis focused on navigation and landing systems.
Rise to Success
Ozmen started at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) as an engineering intern in 1981. He and his wife, Eren Ozmen, acquired SNC in 1994. Under their leadership, SNC has grown significantly, completing numerous strategic acquisitions. They expanded to 34 locations across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and Turkey, with a workforce of over 4,000 employees.
