Faruk Eczacibasi was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1954. He comes from a well-known business family. His father, Nejat Eczacibasi, was a renowned industrialist and philanthropist. Faruk attended the Deutsche Schule Istanbul and holds degrees from the Technische Universität Berlin, including an MBA.
Rise to Success
Faruk Eczacibasi began his professional journey in 1980 in the planning department of the Eczacibasi Group. He played a key role in the Group's technological advancement, leading the computerization and e-transformation processes. In 1996, he became the Vice Chairman of the Eczacibasi Group. He has also served as the President of the Turkish Informatics Foundation (TBV) since 1995.

Faruk Eczacibasi has been instrumental in the e-transformation of the Eczacibasi Group, heading Eczacibasi Information and Communication Technologies.
