Dominika Kulczyk was born on July 30, 1977, in Poznań, Poland. As the daughter of Jan Kulczyk, one of Poland's wealthiest individuals, she was exposed to the world of business from a young age. She graduated from Karol Marcinkowski Secondary School in Poznań and pursued higher education at Adam Mickiewicz University, earning degrees in Sinology and Political Sciences. She furthered her education with Mandarin Chinese studies at Huadong Shifan University and Peking University. Additionally, Kulczyk completed a course on strategic philanthropy at the London Institute.

After her father's death in 2015, Dominika Kulczyk inherited a significant portion of his estate, including shares in Polenergia SA. She took over the stake in renewable energy outfit Polenergia and now chairs its supervisory board.
