David Feffer was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on November 13, 1956. He is the eldest of four brothers, representing the third generation of a family that built the global pulp and paper giant, Suzano S.A. His grandfather, Leon Feffer, founded the company in 1924. David Feffer holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and has taken courses at Harvard Business School, Columbia University, IMD in Switzerland, and the Aspen Institute.
Rise to Success
Feffer began working for Suzano at the age of 18, starting in the transportation sector. Over time, he gained experience in various sectors of the company. He became CEO of Suzano in 2001, revitalizing the business and encouraging sustainable growth. In 2003, he became Chairman of the Board of Suzano and President of Suzano Holding. Under his leadership, Suzano merged with Fibria Celulose in 2019, creating the world's largest pulp producer.
