Darcie Glazer Kassewitz was born in Rochester, New York. She attended American University in Washington, D.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 1990. She furthered her education by earning a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk Law School in 1993.

Kassewitz gained prominence through her family's ownership of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which they acquired in 1995. Her career has been marked by her involvement with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Manchester United. Kassewitz is the co-owner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
