Early Life
Daniel Tsai was born in Taipei, Taiwan, into a wealthy family. His father, Tsai Wan-tsai, founded Fubon Financial Holding Co. Daniel and his brother, Richard Tsai, received an excellent education and grew up in a privileged environment.
Rise to Success
Daniel Tsai began his career at Fubon Financial Holding Co. in the early 1990s. He rose through the ranks quickly and became the company's president in 2005. Under his leadership, Fubon Financial Holding Co. has grown into one of the largest financial services companies in Taiwan. Together with his brother Richard, they control the various subsidiaries and investments of the Fubon Group, including Taiwan Mobile, Taiwan Fixed Network, and Fubon Bank.

Daniel Tsai, along with his brother Richard, is credited with transforming Fubon Financial Holding Co. into a global financial powerhouse. They have expanded the business, positioning Taiwan Mobile as an internet company focusing on the digital convergence of telecommunications, the internet, media, and entertainment. In 2022, Fubon Financial Holdings merged with Jih Sun Financial Holdings, strengthening its banking and securities businesses.
