Daniel Sundheim was born around 1976 or 1977. He graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in economics.
Rise to Success
Sundheim began his career at Bear Stearns in the Merchant Banking Group, where he worked on private equity investments. In 2002, he joined Viking Global Investors, and over 15 years, he rose to Chief Investment Officer. Sundheim founded D1 Capital Partners in July 2018 with more than $500 million of his own money. The firm focuses on sectors such as technology, healthcare, and consumer markets. D1 Capital Partners quickly became one of the top-performing hedge funds.
