Clark Knobel Hunt was born on February 19, 1965, in Dallas, Texas. He is the son of Norma and Lamar Hunt and the grandson of oil tycoon H.L. Hunt. After graduating from St. Mark's School of Texas, he attended Southern Methodist University (SMU), graduating first in his class in 1987 with a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. At SMU, he was a captain and four-year letterman on the Mustangs' nationally ranked soccer team. Hunt worked for two years as an investment banker with Goldman Sachs before returning to Dallas to work with his father.
