Christopher Charles Rokos was born in London, UK, on September 21, 1970. He displayed an early aptitude for mathematics and science, earning a scholarship to Eton College and later attended Pembroke College, Oxford University, where he graduated with a first-class honors degree in mathematics and holds an MA from Oxford University.
Rise to Success
Rokos began his career in finance at UBS in London before moving to Goldman Sachs. In 1998, he joined Credit Suisse as a proprietary trader. In 2002, Rokos co-founded Brevan Howard Asset Management with Alan Howard, which became one of the largest hedge funds in Europe. Rokos was a star trader at Brevan Howard, generating billions in profit. He left Brevan Howard in 2012. In 2015, Rokos founded his own hedge fund, Rokos Capital Management, which focuses on global macro trading.
