Chao Teng-hsiung was born in 1944 in western Taiwan. Growing up in poverty, he learned the value of hard work early on, helping his father with farm chores and fishing. In 1966, he moved to Taipei with limited resources. Chao's initial ventures involved supplying cement to construction firms, a foundation upon which he would later build his real estate empire.
Rise to Success
Chao Teng-hsiung's career took off when he started developing buildings that combined factories and offices. He founded Farglory Land in 1978, which has become one of Taiwan's largest real estate developers. His strategic vision allowed him to navigate the regional financial crisis of 2008. Chao is recognized for his innovative approach to urban development, pioneering the concept of "Next Generation Homes." His leadership has helped Farglory complete over 7,600 projects.

Chao's business strategy centered on acquiring large tracts of land for comprehensive planning, integrating hardware and software, and constructing affordable housing equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Farglory Group's interests expanded into finance and insurance, air cargo logistics, and leisure activities. Farglory Land remains the flagship unit of the Farglory Group.
