Early Life
Boris Gennadyevich Zingarevich was born on July 8, 1959, in Sebezh, Pskov region, USSR. He graduated from the Leningrad Technological Institute of Pulp and Paper Industry with a degree in engineering. He has a twin brother, Mikhail Zingarevich.
Rise to Success
In 1992, Zingarevich co-founded Ilim Pulp Enterprise with his brother Mikhail and Zakhar Smushkin. He served on the board of directors, overseeing operational activities, and development projects. Under his leadership, Ilim Pulp became the largest vertically integrated timber company in Russia. In 2006, Ilim Pulp Enterprise was transformed into OJSC Ilim Group, a joint venture with International Paper Corporation, where Zingarevich also served on the board. He also established Ilim Timber in 2007.
