Early Life
Bhadresh Shah was born in India and comes from a family of doctors. He chose a different path and pursued a Bachelor of Technology in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, graduating in 1974. Driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, Shah started a small foundry in 1978.
Rise to Success
Shah's initial venture, Ahmedabad Induction Alloy, manufactured steel alloys and iron castings. Recognizing the potential for growth, he transformed the company into AIA Engineering Ltd., focusing on high-chromium grinding parts for the cement, mining, and power industries. AIA Engineering's revenue grew significantly over the years, with revenue reaching $490 million. Bhadresh Shah's strategic decisions, including an IPO and a focus on exports, fueled the company's expansion and led to his entry into the billionaire ranks.

AIA Engineering's success is attributed to several key strategies. Shah focused on innovation, quality, and adherence to international manufacturing standards. He built a sustainable export-focused business model. Today, nearly three-fourths of its revenue is from global sales, originating from 95 countries.
Philanthropy
Bhadresh Shah is involved with the non-profit organization MagicBus, which is dedicated to helping India's poorest communities taking on the journey of children and young people from childhood to livelihood.
