Early Life
Bent Jensen was born in 1951 or 1952. His grandfather founded Christian Jensen and Sons in 1907, a company initially involved in producing pulleys, grinding mills, and forges. Bent Jensen earned a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Southern Denmark.
Rise to Success
Bent Jensen took over the family business in 1976, when it had only seven employees. He envisioned a new product to propel the company forward and introduced the linear actuator in 1979, which became the core of LINAK's business. In 1984, the company was renamed LINAK. Jensen's focus on innovation and quality drove the company's growth. Today, LINAK has a global presence with production facilities in Denmark, the USA, China, Slovakia, and Thailand.
