B. Partha Saradhi Reddy was born on March 6, 1954, in Kandukuru, Khammam District, Telangana. He earned an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Osmania University, Hyderabad. During his youth, he spent time working on his family's lands.

Reddy founded the Hetero Group of Companies in 1993. Under his leadership, Hetero has become a leading pharmaceutical company, particularly in the production of anti-retroviral drugs. His expertise in synthetic chemistry was key to the company's research and development capabilities. Hetero has a portfolio of over 200 products. Reddy's contributions were instrumental during the HIV/AIDS crisis, developing affordable APIs for anti-retroviral drugs. Hetero became a global player in research, manufacturing, and marketing.
