Anthony Nicholas Pritzker was born on January 7, 1961, to a Jewish family in the United States. He is a member of the Pritzker family, known for their extensive business ventures, particularly the Hyatt Hotels Corporation, founded by his great-uncle Jay Pritzker. Pritzker graduated from Menlo School, Dartmouth College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in engineering, and the University of Chicago, where he received an MBA.
Rise to Success
Pritzker's career has encompassed diverse leadership positions. He served as the president of Fenestra Corporation from 1993 to 1994. From 1995 to 1996, he held the position of group executive at the Marmon Group. Pritzker also served as regional vice president of operations in Asia for Getz Bros. & Co. from 1996 to 1998. Later, he became the president of Baker Tanks from 2000 to 2004 and chairman of AmSafe Partners from 2004 to 2007. Currently, he is the managing partner of the Pritzker Group, a private equity firm focusing on middle-market investments and the chairman and CEO of Pritzker Private Capital.

Pritzker serves on the advisory board at the Center for Asia Pacific Policy of the RAND Corporation, the board of trustees of the California Institute of the Arts, and the board of directors of Heal the Bay. The Anthony Pritzker Family Foundation supports initiatives in education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, foster care, and community development, particularly in Los Angeles. In 2020, he and his wife donated $30 million to UCLA to renovate the school's Psychology Tower, now named Pritzker Hall.
