Rise to Success
Avdolyan's career is marked by several key achievements. In 2007, he co-founded Scartel Telecommunications Company with Sergey Adoniev. The company launched wireless internet access under the Yota brand in 2008, using WiMAX technology, and became Russia's first LTE operator in 2011. He has also been involved with the acquisition and development of significant assets in the energy sector.
In 2018, Avdolyan entered the capital of a group of enterprises for mineral fertilizers and ligatures. He acquired the Yakut Fuel and Energy Company (YATEC) in 2019, rescuing it from bankruptcy. In 2020, he acquired 51% of shares in Elgaugol, LLC, Elga-Doroga, LLC, and Mechel-Trans-Vostok LLC, which are operators of the Elga coal deposit, one of Russia's largest coking coal deposits.
