Alan Howard was born in England in 1964 or 1965, to a Jewish family. He attended Hasmonean Grammar School and later graduated from Imperial College London with a master's degree in engineering. From an early age, Howard showed a fascination with numbers.
Rise to Success
Howard began his financial career at Salomon Brothers, where he worked in the ECU eurobond market. In 2002, he co-founded Brevan Howard Asset Management. The firm quickly grew into one of the largest hedge funds in Europe, managing billions in assets. Howard stepped down as CEO in 2019 to focus on investing.
