Early Life
Aerin Lauder was born in New York City on April 23, 1970, to Jo Carole Lauder and Ronald Lauder. Aerin grew up immersed in the world of beauty and luxury, inheriting the legacy of the Estée Lauder Companies, founded by her grandmother, Estée Lauder, in 1946. She is the granddaughter of Estée Lauder and Joseph Lauder, and has one sister, Jane Lauder Warsh.
Rise to Success
Aerin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School of Communications in 1992. She joined the family business that same year, starting as an assistant to the senior vice president of creative marketing at Estée Lauder. Over the next two decades, Aerin advanced through key roles, including director of creative product development, senior vice president of creative product marketing, and global creative director from 2004 to 2009. During this time, she also served on the company's board of directors until 2016. In 2012, she founded AERIN, a luxury lifestyle brand with collections in beauty, accessories, jewelry, and home décor. Aerin also serves as the Style and Image Director for the Estée Lauder Companies.
