Early Life and Education
Rajesh Sharma was born in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He pursued a career in chartered accountancy after graduating from Sharada Sadan College in Mukundgarh, Rajasthan. He moved to Mumbai, the financial capital of India, where he resided at the Rajasthan Vidyarthi Griha. He then qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Rise to Success
In 1996, Sharma established his professional services firm in Mumbai. This venture evolved into Money Matters, an investment banking practice. Money Matters grew into one of the fastest-growing investment banks in India, with notable clients. Subsequently, Sharma rebuilt his business into Capri Global Capital, an NBFC. Capri Global Capital, under his leadership, offers home loans, construction loans, and business loans, catering to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across India. Capri Global started as a construction finance company in 2011 and forayed into housing finance in 2017.

Sharma's key strategies include focusing on financial inclusion and providing specialized financial services. He has expanded Capri Global's operations across India, leveraging technology to improve customer experience and operational efficiency. His focus is primarily on the western and central regions of India. Sharma is also looking to convert his non-deposit taking NBFC into a small finance bank.
