Michal Strnad was born on August 4, 1992, in Chrudim, Czech Republic. He is the son of Jaroslav Strnad, who founded the Czechoslovak Group (CSG) in 1995. Growing up in an entrepreneurial environment, Michal developed a strong interest in business and industry from a young age.
Rise to Success
Michal Strnad began his career at CSG in 2011, gradually taking on various managerial roles within the expanding holding. In 2013, he became the CEO of the emerging group, and in 2018, he became its direct owner. His leadership has transformed CSG into a diversified and globally operating holding, active in the automotive, railway, aerospace, and defense industries. Under his management, the company has expanded significantly through strategic acquisitions, including the purchase of a 70% stake in Fiocchi Munizioni, an Italian munitions company, and The Kinetic Group, which includes leading American manufacturers of small-caliber ammunition.

Strnad's business strategies have focused on expanding CSG's global presence and diversifying its portfolio. A key aspect of his approach has been acquiring companies and expanding into new markets. He has overseen the acquisition of numerous companies, making CSG the largest producer of small-caliber ammunition in the Western world. CSG's revenue has tripled since 2021, reflecting a strong demand in the defense sector. His company is also involved in supplying modernized T-72 tanks, arms, and ammunition to Ukraine.

CSG, under his leadership, has also supported the Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT) in the long-term research of immunotherapeutic products for the treatment of patients with acute leukaemia.
