Ishay Davidi was born in Ramat Hasharon, Israel. He served as an officer in the Israeli commando (Sayeret Matcal). Davidi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from Tel Aviv University, graduating with honors, and an MBA from Bar Ilan University.

Davidi founded First Israel Mezzanine Investors Ltd. in 1996. However, he is best known as the founder and CEO of FIMI Opportunity Funds, established in 1996. FIMI is the leading private equity firm in Israel, managing over $3 billion in assets. Under Davidi's leadership, FIMI has made 108 investments and completed 76 exits, generating over $9 billion in transaction value. Davidi has been recognized as one of the most influential businessmen in the Israeli economy for over 10 years.
