Early Life

Giuseppe Crippa was born in Robbiate, Italy, on May 5, 1935. He developed a fascination with electronics early in life. After a brief period at Breda, he joined SGS-ATES (later STMicroelectronics) in 1960 and worked there for 30 years. He held important roles in production, processes, and quality management. During his tenure at SGS-Ates/STMicroelectronics, Crippa had the opportunity to manage the production of the first silicon transistors in Italy.

Rise to Success

Crippa founded Technoprobe in 1989, starting in his garage and attic with his son, Cristiano. The company manufactured probe cards to test microchips.
