Anand Surana, along with his brother Dilip, is the son of G.C. Surana, who founded Micro Labs in Chennai in 1973. The Surana family moved to Bangalore from Rajasthan, where G.C. Surana initially worked as an accountant before entering the pharmaceutical distribution business. Micro Labs started with just five products, focusing on bringing new molecules into the Indian market.
