Early Life
Alexis Lê-Quôc, a French native, met his future business partner, Olivier Pomel, while they were undergraduates at École Centrale Paris, where they both received Master's degrees in computer science. Before co-founding Datadog, Lê-Quôc's career included several key engineering roles that provided a strong foundation for his future endeavors.
Rise to Success
Before founding Datadog, Lê-Quôc served as Director of Operations for Wireless Generation, building the team and infrastructure that served more than four million students in 49 states. He also worked as a software engineer at IBM Research, Neomeo, and Orange. Lê-Quôc and Pomel co-founded Datadog in 2010. The company listed on the Nasdaq in September 2019, raising nearly $650 million and achieving a $10.9 billion market cap on its first day of trading. Lê-Quôc and Pomel became billionaires in May 2020. Lê-Quôc owns approximately 3% of Datadog shares.
