Early Life
Alexandre Behring da Costa was born in 1967 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC/RJ) and later obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1995, where he was a Baker Scholar and Loeb Scholar.
Rise to Success
Behring's career began with co-founding Modus OSI Technologies in 1989. From 1994 to 2004, he was a partner and board member at GP Investimentos, the largest private-equity firm in Latin America. In 1998, he co-founded América Latina Logística (ALL), a private sector railroad company, serving as its CEO. In 2004, Behring co-founded 3G Capital, a global investment firm, alongside Jorge Paulo Lemann, Carlos Alberto Sicupira, and Marcel Herrmann Telles. 3G Capital is known for its investments in Anheuser-Busch InBev, Restaurant Brands International (Burger King, Tim Hortons, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen), Kraft Heinz, and Hunter Douglas N.V.. Behring served as Chairman of Kraft Heinz from 2015 to 2022.
